Pastoral Transition
On February 9, 2026 we entered a period of pastoral transition seeking God's provision for a new Lead Pastor. In the meantime, the Elder Board Chairman has oversight of personnel and leadership and will communicate regularly about developments. Please continue to worship and pray with us as we seek the Lord's favor each week.
Shaun Searle
Interim Preaching Pastor
Shaun joined the staff at FBC in March 2026. He previously served as associate pastor at FBC from 1986-1988 before focusing on lay ministry in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He started Harbor Wealth Management in 2006 and continues to provide financial management services. With extensive experience teaching and preaching as a lay minister he has a heart for discipleship and seeing Christians grow in their faith. He is married to Janice; they have four adult children and four grandchildren. He enjoys camping, canoeing and fishing.
Matt Allen
Associate Pastor - Worship & Youth
Matt is from Long Beach, California where he pursued careers in music, law enforcement, and golf before arriving in Arkansas City in 2012. He became youth pastor in 2013 and associate pastor in 2017. In December 2025 he announced he would be stepping away from full-time vocational ministry after accepting an aerospace position in Wichita. Once this new position starts he will continue as interim worship minister part-time during the Lead Pastor search. In the meantime he remains on staff leading worship and helping guide the church during the pastoral transition.
